About Therapy

Q1
What is singing bowl therapy? How is it different from meditation or massage?

Singing bowl therapy uses the vibration and frequencies of handcrafted bowls to work on the body and energy field, promoting deep relaxation and energetic balance. Unlike massage, which stimulates muscles, or meditation, which requires active focus, singing bowl therapy is a passive yet profound healing process—you simply lie down and relax.

Q2
What conditions can singing bowl therapy help with?

It is beneficial for stress relief, insomnia, emotional tension, and chronic fatigue. Many people report clearer thoughts, calmer emotions, and a lighter body after a session.

Q3
Can singing bowl therapy replace medical treatment?

No. It is a complementary healing modality that supports relaxation and energy balance but cannot replace professional medical diagnosis or treatment.

Q4
If I fall asleep during the session, will it be less effective?

Not at all. Even if your mind falls asleep, your body and energy field still receive the full benefits of the sound vibrations.

Q5
What reactions might I experience after a session?

You may feel deeply relaxed and light, or experience temporary tiredness or emotional release. This is a natural part of energy realignment. Rest and hydration will help your body integrate the benefits.

Session Preparation & Arrangements

Q1
How do I choose the right type of session?

For deeper energy alignment, we recommend one-on-one sessions. For general relaxation, group sound healing is also a wonderful choice. If unsure, feel free to consult with us for guidance.

Q2
Do I need to prepare anything? What should I wear?

Wear comfortable, soft clothing without tightness. Avoid metal zippers or buttons on the upper body and waist, as they may interfere with the bowls’ vibration. Please also remove necklaces, bracelets, and watches to allow energy to flow freely.

Q3
Do I need to bring my own yoga mat or blanket?

At our Taipei studio, we provide basic yoga mats and blankets. However, if you’d like extra comfort, you’re welcome to bring your own blanket or eye mask.

Q4
Can I drive or work immediately after the session?

In most cases, yes. However, we recommend allowing some time to gently transition back to your daily activities, especially after a deeply relaxing group session.

About Suitability & Restrictions

Q1
Is singing bowl therapy suitable for children?

Yes, but they must be accompanied by a parent and attend a shorter, gentler session.

Q2
Is it safe during pregnancy? What precautions should I take?

Pregnant women in the second trimester (4–7 months) may receive gentle sessions. Bowls will not be placed directly on the abdomen. Please inform the therapist of your pregnancy in advance.

Q3
Can I have a session after surgery?

You should wait until you have fully recovered and have your doctor’s approval. The therapist will avoid areas that are still healing.

Q4
What if I have a pacemaker, epilepsy, or other medical conditions?

Please consult your doctor first and inform the therapist in advance so we can assess and adapt the session accordingly.

Q5
Who should avoid singing bowl therapy?

Those with severe mental illness, acute inflammation, or recent major surgery should only attend with medical consent. People who are extremely sensitive to sound should also proceed with caution.

Group Sound Healing

Q1
What’s the difference between group and private sessions?

Private sessions are customized to your needs, with bowls placed directly on the body. Group sessions focus on the collective resonance of sound waves, creating a shared meditative space for relaxation.

Q2
Is group sound healing suitable for first-timers?

Absolutely! It’s a stress-free way to experience the benefits of sound therapy. Just lie down, relax, and let the sound guide you into stillness.

Q3
What if I snore easily? Will it disturb others?

No need to worry. The sound field completely surrounds the space, and participants are immersed in the resonance of the bowls, rarely hearing any other noises. Occasional snoring is simply a sign of deep relaxation and does not disrupt the energy flow.

Q4
Can I move around or leave during the session?

To maintain the energy and atmosphere, we recommend staying still for the entire session. If you need to leave, please inform the therapist beforehand.
