Experience the Celestial Harmony of Chandra Surya Bowls

where the sound speaks to the soul

Across cultures and centuries, the full moon has long been honored as a sacred presence—a symbol of divine femininity, compassion, and protection. Like a nurturing mother, it casts a soft, luminous glow that gently soothes all beings in the dark of night. In contrast, the sun represents the paternal force of creation—steadfast and radiant, empowering life to thrive and evolve through its unwavering strength.

Though seemingly opposite, these two cosmic forces are fundamentally intertwined. Yin contains yang, and yang holds yin—their dynamic interplay drives the cycles of nature and the rhythm of life itself. True harmony is not found in separation, but in the continuous balancing of these energies.

From this sacred philosophy, the Chandra Surya Bowl was born. More than just an instrument, it is a vessel of cosmic wisdom and vibrational alignment.

At Dhwani Mantra, we honor the rhythms of the natural world and celestial movements throughout the crafting process. Each Chandra Surya Bowl begins its life on the night of the full moon , when seven sacred metals are melted and fused together. This traditional alloy, known as Kasa metal, corresponds to the seven classical planets, and has long been revered for its ability to carry cosmic frequencies and spiritual intention.

Under the full moon’s introspective energy, the molten metals absorb deep, tranquil vibrations. Then, at sunrise the following morning, the hand-hammering process begins. With every rhythmic strike, the bowl is shaped—not only in form, but in spirit—infused with the sun’s strength, vitality, and illuminating force.

This ritualistic process is more than craftsmanship—it is alchemy in motion, blending lunar receptivity with solar clarity. The result is a bowl whose sound is both gentle and powerful, grounding and expansive, capable of penetrating the body’s energy field and resonating with the core of one’s being.

At the heart of this craftsmanship is Master Rohit Shrestha, also known as Ray, the visionary founder of Mantra. With years of dedicated practice and expertise, he has refined the art of singing bowl making, ensuring that each Chandra Surya Bowl resonates with purity, authenticity, and power.

When you strike a Chandra Surya Bowl, you don’t just hear a sound—you feel its essence. The deep, unwavering resonance reveals the truth within the sound itself: pure, powerful, and profound.
